Remote Power Management

Any enterprise that relies heavily on the use of distributed LAN/WAN internetworking devices and Windows NT or Unix servers needs Remote Power Management. When your network goes down, resulting problems such as lost revenue, customer dissatisfaction, decreased productivity and potential Service Level Agreement penalties can quickly arise.

Many enterprises rely on a UPS to keep equipment operational, such as connecting multiple internetworking devices to a power outlet on a single UPS. This can be problematic. Consider what happens when an individual router locks up.

The router power cord is connected to one of the multiple power outlets on the UPS, yet a UPS does not have the ability to individually power cycle one power output receptacle. The recovery options are limited, either using a sledgehammer approach where an operator commands the UPS to simultaneously power cycle itself and all its attached devices, or find a technician that can be dispatched to the enterprise location to power cycle just the locked-up router. Obviously, neither option is attractive.

With a Remote Power Manager recovery action is easy and cost-effective. They provide a logical, software-controlled interface to individual power modules. This allows a technician the ability to immediately reboot an individual internetworking device and quickly return the network to operational status without interrupting all the equipment attached to the UPS.

What are the options to be considered when choosing a Remote Power Management system?
  • On/Off/Reboot
  • On Sense
  • Load Sense
  • Power Consumption
  • AC/DC
  • Visual Indicators
  • Alarms
  • Power Up Sequencing
  • Load Shedding
  • Security
  • UPS Management
  • SNMP
  • Web Interface
  • Space Usage

Remote Environment Monitoring

Protect your network operation by extending the reach of your Network Management System into remote, unmanned and non-networked locations. The success of many companies is completely reliant on their networks. Environmental conditions, power failures, security issues and the function of non-networked devices can threaten a network. Our products help you gain control of these events via your SNMP network management software. They also provide alarm notification via pager, e-mail alerts, SNMP Traps and our alarm management software.

Monitoring Temperature and Humidity to Protect Critical Equipment Temperature, humidity, water leaks, security issues -- your network can be crippled by any of these factors. Businesses with remote or unmanned equipment rooms are especially at risk. Our Site Management products help protect critical business equipment such as servers, phone systems and data from a variety of these threats, and warn network managers before harm is done.

Monitoring the Data Centre

A critical component for any high quality hosting provider is the Data Centre and Network Operations Centre. We need to offer the highest levels of monitoring and data protection. Host Centers are available on a 24 (hour) x 7 (day) x 52 (week) basis, so they are designed and provided with Network infrastructure, Data Cabinets, Uninterruptible power supplies and air conditioners to meet this requirement.

All these data centre resources and equipment are considered to be critical resources which would cause loss of data, system failures, and damage to the resources and threat to the environment when there are any power fluctuations or water leakage or rise in temperature and humidity. So to protect these resources from unpredictable conditions or abnormal situations, environmental monitoring device is manadatory.

Our systems incorporate both SNMP and Web based monitoring in a complete monitoring package.
